As reported by Civil Protection and PSP, a 59-year-old employee of the municipality of Moura (Beja) died this Monday after he was hit while working due to a car accident near the town’s high school.
The man was working when he was grabbed by a car near Moore High School.
The alarm was raised at 8:42 a.m. this Monday.
The relief operations involved 23 first responders, 10 members of the Moura Fire Department, the city’s PSP and INEM.
The accident occurred when “a van carrying disabled children crashed near a high school and ran over a municipal employee working there,” the Baixo Alentejo Subregional Command for Emergency Situations and Civil Protection said.
