He is 45 years old, she is 42. The woman really wanted to become a mother and solved her infertility problem by buying a girl. The couple traveled to Spain, spoke to a family experiencing economic problems, and in exchange for 10 thousand euros bought a child.
Since then they have tried everything possible to register it. Early last year, they went to the family health center in Gondomar. At that time, the baby was already four months old. They asked to accept the girl into the family and vaccinate her. They claimed that he was born on October 26, 2022 in Extremadura, Spain, as the result of an extramarital affair between a male partner and a Spanish woman.
Because they did not have any identification or documentation of paternity, possible adoption, parental authority regulation, or transfer of parental responsibilities, the child was not accepted into this Family Health (USF) unit.
Things got more complicated when they returned to the medical unit two months later. By that time they already had documents, and the child, who was already listed as the couple’s daughter, was born on a different day: December 20 in Trás os Montes.
Once inspectors from the Porto Judicial Police were alerted, DNA tests were requested on the child, as well as his parents. After all, she is not the daughter of any of them, and it is known that the birth certificate on which the Citizen Card was issued is fake.
The couple arranged for witnesses to the failed birth and even a document from a doctor confirming the false birth.
After the criminal scheme was uncovered, the girl was taken from the family and placed in a hospital, and the couple was detained for the first interrogation. They are responsible for human trafficking, false declarations and forged documents.
