According to a judge’s ruling published this Saturday, Spanish National Court Judge Santiago Pedras gave telecom operators three hours to suspend the use of Telegram in Spain, a period that will count from the receipt of the judicial notice.
The order follows a complaint filed by operators Mediaset, Antena 3 and Movistar, which accused the app of hosting copyrighted content without permission.
The Spanish judge considered that there was no alternative that could prevent a repetition of the facts and therefore ordered that telecom and Internet operators authorized to operate in Spain suspend the operation of resources associated with Telegram, the news agency reported. EFE.
