The search for two men missing in a crash in Troy, in the municipality of Grandola, was resumed on Tuesday around 7:30 am. The search area was expanded by approximately eight nautical miles (the equivalent of 15 kilometers) more than 48 hours after the tragedy.
The operations involve members of the Maritime Police and the Portuguese Navy with a lifeboat, drones and a ship.
Nothing belonging to the pleasure boat or anything that could help locate the missing victims could be found Monday. TO CMNavy Captain Setubala explains that the investigation is open to clarify the circumstances of the accident and that no discoveries have yet been made that would suggest that there were safety deficiencies on the ship.
Authorities have already recovered the bodies of two crew members. On Monday morning, families went to the morgue to identify two bodies already recovered from the sea: that of Francisco (his mother left with his sister) and that of Gabriel Caeiro, who is survived by his wife and young daughter.
