The areas of Bragança, Guarda and Castelo Branco are under yellow warning this Thursday and Friday due to a cold weather forecast, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
Three areas will be under a yellow warning due to low minimum temperatures until 10:00 Friday.
A yellow warning, the least severe, is issued by the IPMA whenever a risk situation arises for certain weather-dependent activities.
IPMA predicts cold weather for the continent this Thursday with little cloud or clear skies, light to moderate winds, hoarfrost especially on land, fog or morning mist and a slight increase in minimum temperature especially on the coast.
The minimum temperatures will range from -4 degrees Celsius (in Bragança) to 05 (in Lisbon and Faro), and the maximum – from 09 (in Guarda) to 17 (in Aveiro and Braga).
