Meta decided to restrict Chega’s Facebook account for 10 years. Andre Ventura’s party considers the situation “outrageous” and “unconditional persecution” and guarantees that it will use all legal means at its disposal to stop an act that it says is unprecedented.

In practice, Chege is prohibited from publishing images, videos or direct messages, among other things, during this period of 10 years. Meta does not explain the reason for the decision, but, according to the same source, it is related to the publication on the Chegi page of a video about a recent case of a woman who, accompanied by seven family members, attacked and shaved. her mother’s hair to the abduction of two minor daughters, who, by court decision, were under the guardianship of their grandmother. The victim’s current partner was also assaulted and both were hospitalized. The crime occurred in February, the attackers are now detained by the judicial police.

Chega argues that the video of the attacks was published in the media, so such punishment from Facebook for a completely absurd period of time makes no sense and ensures that it is ready to go to extreme measures to turn the tide.
