The PSP is investigating the theft of 100 liters of petrol that occurred at a petrol station in Alvalade on Monday. One of the suspects dropped her wallet with documents while escaping.
According to the statement of the above-mentioned department, two employees saw how a 22-year-old girl was poured into two barrels of 50 liters of gasoline and placed them in the trunk. He then tried to get into the car and leave the place without paying.
The woman was detained by officers while trying to escape. There were two other suspects in the vehicle who left the scene. They took barrels of fuel worth about 200 euros.
Gas station employees alerted authorities, who proceeded to arrest the young woman. The woman, who has an extensive criminal history and has been involved in multiple crimes of the same nature, was released and given a notice to appear at the Lisbon Misdemeanor Unit.
Police have launched an investigation to find the suspects who managed to escape from the scene.
