Brands that sponsored Dani Alves do not forgive and throw the player in jail

Recently, the life of Dani Alves has changed dramatically. Arrested in Spain on charges of raping and assaulting a 23-year-old girl in a nightclub, a Brazilian player risks spending the next 12 years in prison. He saw his wife file for divorce and now he’s watching the brands that supported him go, which naturally creates a hole in his finances. If you add to this the fact that the Mexican club Pumas, in which he played at the time of his arrest, asked for a million dollar compensation, it becomes clear that the player has reasons for serious headaches these days …

Dani Alves told the judge that he had earned €30,000 from Pumas, but the judge was holding the contract and indicated that the amount was €300,000. When the defender signed with the Mexicans, it was about 2 million euros a year, not the 3.6 million that was actually agreed upon.

But the club is now seeking €4.5m in damages from the player for violating the terms of conduct in his contract, a matter that has yet to be resolved by FIFA.

With going to jail for allegedly raping and assaulting a young woman at a club in Barcelona, Dani Alves ended up losing his advertising contracts, as the player’s lawyers confirmed. He received between 30,000 and 50,000 euros for image and advertising rights through one of his companies with a tax address in Barcelona, reports A.

According to El Mundo, on January 24, the Brazilian company Hygia Saúde unilaterally terminated the contract with the player. The day before, the bookmaker’s office “1xPartners”, of which he was a representative, suspended the agreement until a court decision.

On January 25, clothing brand Ethika suspended all agreements with the Brazilian, warning that it would not pay a cent more under the contract.

The player also had an agreement with Adidas that ended on January 18 and was not renewed.
