A man has been prosecuted as part of an investigation into the theft of €200,000 worth of jewelry and watches from a jewelry store in Povoa de Varzim in June 2022, PSP reported this Saturday.
A statement from the Public Security Police of the Porto Metropolitan Command emphasizes that the investigation was launched after the theft of a jewelry store in Povoa do Varzim in June 2022 and included “several police inspections” in the municipalities of Braga, Amares. and Trophy.
As part of the investigation, a 43-year-old man living in Braga was arrested and charged with aggravated theft, and the identities of three other citizens were also identified.
Also seized were hundreds of jewelery and watches worth about 200,000 euros and a sum of money in the amount of 3,000 euros in cash.
“It should be noted that a significant portion of the seized items were intended for sale to the public near commercial premises,” Porto PSP said.
