Today BE concludes parliamentary days in Madeira on housing, climate and corruption.

BE ends its parliamentary days on Tuesday in Madeira, where it announced a series of proposals including a ban on transfers to and from offshore banks and an expectation of achieving carbon neutrality by 2045.

The work begins with meetings with various organizations in the region, and in the afternoon the leader of parliament, Fabian Figueiredo, holds a final press conference presenting the initiatives.

The bloc’s parliamentary days began on Monday morning with a visit to Funchal’s largest, Praia Formosa, where initiatives related to the fight against climate change were discussed.

BE Coordinator Mariana Mortagua and the rest of the deputies elected to the Assembly of the Republic, as well as the head of the BE list for the proposed regional legislative assemblies of May 26, Roberto Almada, elected as a deputy last September, were present during these days.

In the afternoon, the delegation was at the Legislative Assembly of Madeira, where BE parliamentary leader Fabian Figueiredo announced bills and resolutions related to the fight against corruption.

The blocker has identified three proposals that are aimed at prohibiting transfers to and from offshore companies, expanding declaratory obligations to employees of ministerial offices and random checks.

The day ended with a dinner meeting, at which Mariana Mortagua and other leaders spoke.

This is the first time the party is holding parliamentary days in Madeira.
