To avoid damage caused by uncontrolled water, the management of Iberê Camargo, which brings together the artist’s works, placed the collection on a raised platform, opened in 2008.
Siza Vieira’s design, which ironically paid special attention to the environment, particularly the use of water, was awarded the Golden Lion at the Venice Architecture Biennale, a unique event in Latin America.
