The Give Change to Those in Need campaign launches this Monday in around 600 pharmacies across the country, which will “invite users” to donate change from their purchases to help those most in need buy medicine.
The 11th edition of this solidarity initiative will last until May 29, and during this period any citizen can make a donation to the abem: Rede Solidária do Medicamento program of Associação Dignitude, which has already supported more than 36,00 beneficiaries.
Speaking to Lusa, Associação Dignitude chief executive Maria João Toscano said public support for the campaign remained “very consistent”, with the average donation amount rising slightly to 70 cents (about 10 cents) than last year. the last campaign in December 2023 and in relation to previous years.
