Four people suffered minor injuries due to smoke inhalation this Wednesday evening following a fire in the kitchen of an apartment in a three-storey building in Gaya.
At around 23:00 a fire warning was issued on Rua do Barroco in Vilar do Paraíso. Apparently, the flame originated in the exhaust system in the kitchen of the house located on the first floor.
Firefighters from Coimbroes, Avintes and Batallana de Sapadores de Gaia were called to the scene. The ambulance and intensive care team, as well as an ambulance from Vila Nova de Gaia, were also mobilized.
PSP de Gaia went to the scene. The victims, including two women aged 38 and 40 and a 40-year-old man, were taken to Gaya Hospital.
