The United States is reviewing retaliation for Georgia’s controversial foreign influence law, also known as the “Russian law,” US diplomacy chief Antony Blinken said Wednesday.
“We are looking very carefully at what we can do in response to this situation, and I expect that we will take action,” he said at a House hearing in Washington.
The Tbilisi parliament recently passed a law that requires any non-governmental organization or media outlet that receives more than 20% of its funding from abroad to register as an advocate for a foreign power and submit to administrative control.
