A tragic accident during a photo shoot led to the death of a 30-year-old Venezuelan model in Zacoalco de Torres, near the Mexican city of Guadalajara.
Cynthia Nayeli Higareda Bermejo was posing for the cameras when she was “sucked” by a passing locomotive, The Sun reports.
“The speed of the train caused his clothes to be pulled towards the train, which caused his death,” said a local prosecutor quoted by the English newspaper.
The model planned to take a photo with a train in the background, but ended up getting too close to the tracks.
Emergency services were immediately called to the scene but arrived only to find the woman dead. The body was removed for an autopsy and then released to the family for funeral.
“Everything points to it being an accident. She got too close to the tracks when a train was passing,” adds the local prosecutor.
