A collision between a heavy vehicle and a light vehicle this Wednesday resulted in one death and one minor injury on Estrada Nacional 361-1, near Vilar, in the municipality of Cadaval, the local fire chief said on Wednesday.
David Santos told Lusa that the accident occurred at 19:00 and the victim was a woman in her 20s, the driver and only passenger of the car.
The minor victim is the driver of a heavy vehicle and was taken to the emergency department of the Torres Vedras Hospital, which is part of the local health unit of Oeste.
There were 13 first responders and five vehicles at the scene, including the Torres Vedras medical ambulance and resuscitation vehicle, as well as two ambulances and a recovery vehicle from the Cadaval corporation.
State Police officers were also at the scene of the incident to determine the cause of the incident.
