According to information published this Friday by the Ministry of Finance, the total value of IRS refunds already paid amounts to 1,833.3 million euros, with 3,549,462 returns settled.
This IRS campaign review comes one month before the June 30 deadline for taxpayers to file their annual income tax returns.
According to the Ministry of Finance, as of May 29, 3,549,462 declarations were settled, 1,901,064 compensations were paid for a total amount of 1,833.3 million euros.
The average cost of refunds this year and so far is €964.35, with the average payment period for this tax refund being 22.4 days.
As is usually the case, the annual settlement of IRS accounts results in some taxpayers receiving collections rather than refunds, and so far 419,614 such collections have been issued totaling €297.86 million with an average value of €709.84.
Since the IRS campaign began on April 1, taxpayers have filed 4,543,613 IRS returns, of which 1,580,768 are IRS automatic filings and 2,950,443 are Model 3 regular filings.
