A woman was undeterred early Tuesday morning when her car was stolen from a petrol station in Vale de Cambra.
The thief was later detained by PPR officers.
It all happened at 4 am, when the victim, having stopped at a gas station and paid the fee, was going to refuel. A 26-year-old Indian man approached her and demanded her wallet. The woman resisted, the suspect got into the victim’s car and fled.
The State Police was called to the scene. Shortly afterwards, the man was intercepted and detained near the scene by a PNR patrol from Sever do Vouga.
For what CM It was established that the suspect had already been involved by the authorities in committing several crimes of a similar nature. He is due to appear at the Santa Maria da Feira court this Wednesday for enforcement action.
