USHE soldiers serving in the Assembly of the Republic battle a bedbug infestation in their barracks wards. GNR assures that CM that the situation is localized in one of the rooms and that a specialized company is trying to confirm and eliminate the pest. “Although some bites have been reported, there are no reports of soldiers with relevant clinical problems,” the GNR said.
The insect outbreak was first identified in August 2023 in the USHE Safety Unit. GNR says that all 720 m2 of premises were then disinfected. But in November, another outbreak occurred in one of the premises. According to the complaint against CMThe cleaning was done by the soldiers themselves (about 90 people), who spent the night in the room.
