GNR and Mirandela firefighters have been searching since 11:30 this Friday morning to find a missing 81-year-old man in the town of Frechas, in the municipality of Mirandela, in Bragança.
According to a PNP source who confirmed the disappearance, the man has been wanted since 11:30 am today.
Around 19:00, 19 operatives and 10 vehicles were mobilized to search for the missing person, the official civil protection page reports.
A Mirandela fire source added to Lusa that the elderly man, who appears to be suffering from dementia, was last seen by his family last night.
The same source said that older people usually take walks between Frechas and Mirandela early in the morning.
The militants are striking along the banks of the Tua River and have already covered most of the territory between Mirandela and Fresha and Fresha to the city of Kachan, but so far without success.
State Police officers and firefighters are at the scene of the incident and are engaged in a search.
