The Union of Judicial Employees (SFJ) officially begins negotiations with the Ministry of Justice (MJ) to review the professional status of the class on July 2, with the process expected to be completed by the end of the year.
According to SFJ President António Marsala, at a meeting on Tuesday at MJ, issues were identified that should be included in the scope of this review, such as the career paradigm, creating conditions for attracting new employees, checking the salary table, but also functional issues such as occupation-specific skills.
According to António Marsala, it is necessary to determine what the specific powers are and what powers can be delegated to judicial officers, as well as appropriate remuneration, in order to prevent professionals from performing tasks for which they are not paid, as well as to guarantee greater autonomy in the service. .
