A motorcyclist in his 30s was found injured and unconscious this Sunday on the Tuco Municipal Road in Tomar.
For what CM As it turned out, the man was found in a river ditch on the side of the road, and a little further away there was a man’s motorcycle that had crashed.
The victim was treated at the scene by members of the Tomar fire department, supported by INEM and VMER teams from the Abrantes Hospital.
After resuscitation efforts, rescuers were able to restore signs of the victim, who had confused and disoriented speech.
Due to the severity of the injuries, the INEM helicopter was called and transported the victim in serious condition to the Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon.
Representatives of the State Police were at the scene and are investigating the cause of the incident.
