Two men were arrested on Wednesday afternoon following a chase by GNR officials for several kilometers between Vila do Conde and Porto.
According to morning Post According to police sources, the chase began in the Mindelo area, in Vila do Conde, where the pair robbed a 51-year-old woman.
The victim alerted the authorities and the PPR immediately tracked down the suspects, who fled along the A28 motorway towards Porto in the stolen BMW they were driving.
During the chase, troopers fired warning shots into the air, but the pair still did not stop, putting several drivers in danger.
The suspects were intercepted and detained approximately 20 kilometers later on Avenida AER in Ramalda, Porto. Several cars were damaged.
The car they were traveling in was stolen on June 16.
In addition to the materials stolen from a 51-year-old woman in Vila do Conde, GNR found several materials inside the BMW that had also been stolen.
