This Thursday, the Lusa News Agency denied Russia’s decision to block Internet access in the country by RTP, Público, Observador and Expresso among 81 European media outlets, calling for the restrictions to be lifted.
In a note published this Thursday, the Lusa Information Directorate – Agência de Notícias de Portugal “stands in full solidarity” with the affected media and “rejects Russia’s decision.”
“The Information Office of Lusa believes that this decision violates freedom of information and information, as well as the exercise of free journalism, the prerequisites of the rule of law and democracy, and joins the call of these media outlets to lift the announced restrictions,” he says.
