Former US President Barack Obama defended current President Joe Biden on Friday, along with former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, after sharply criticizing the Democratic candidate’s performance in Thursday’s debate.
“Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between a man who spent his life fighting for the common people and a man who only cares about himself,” Obama wrote on Platform X, comparing Biden. and his Republican opponent Donald Trump.
“Between someone who tells the truth, who knows right from wrong and will tell it directly to the American people, and someone who outright lies for their own gain. Last night didn’t change that, and that’s why there’s so much at stake in November,” he concluded.
