Argentina’s President Calls Lula da Silva ‘Idiot Dinosaur’

In a new offensive attack on Brazilian President Lula da Silva, the President of neighboring Argentina, Javier Milei, called the veteran Brazilian politician an “idiot dinosaur.” Milei, a right-wing extremist girlfriend of former President Jair Bolsonaro, has made personal attacks on Lula in recent days.

“If we had done as that big idiot dinosaur said, LLA (Milei’s party) would have lost. We ignored it and won,” said Javier Milei, referring to Lula da Silva, 78, who publicly backed Sergio Massa, the current president’s main opponent, in Argentina’s presidential election last December.

Several texts published on Tuesday spoke of the rise in popularity of Bolivian President Luis Arce.

Milea said Lula’s conviction for the alleged coup in Bolivia demonstrates “the full stupidity” of the Brazilian president, to whom he refused to apologize for previous offenses.

Last weekend, Milei had already attacked Lula da Silva, once again calling him corrupt and a communist. Milei was responding to an interview with the Brazilian, who, in response to a journalist, said that he would only talk to the Argentine president if he publicly apologized to Brazil and himself for the offenses committed in recent months.

“What’s wrong with me calling him corrupt? Wasn’t he arrested for corruption? And what’s wrong with me calling him a communist? Isn’t he a communist? Since when do you have to apologize for telling the truth?” Javier Miley.
