The 22-year-old man was attacked early Saturday morning in Povoa de Varzim, Porto.
According to CM, the young man was at a party in Sao Pedro with his girlfriend and after taking the girl home, while driving home, he was pulled out of the car and attacked with blows and an iron. The young man was found disoriented and injured by firefighters. He was rescued on the spot and then taken to the Sao Joao hospital.
The victim has already contacted the authorities, but does not remember the moment of the attack.
The alarm was raised at 6:19 a.m. and Povoa de Varzim firefighters were at the scene.
The family posted on Facebook that early in the morning of July 6, “between 6:00 and 6:30, a young man was violently attacked by a group on Museu da Povoa de Varzim Street. The family is looking for people who witnessed the incident.”
PSP is investigating the case.
