The FBI has identified Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old white man, as “involved” in the attempted assassination of former US President Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania.
The young man, originally from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, was a registered Republican, according to state voter registration data, Reuters reported.
“The FBI has identified 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, as the man involved in the July 13 assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The investigation remains active and ongoing, and anyone with information that could assist in the investigation is encouraged to post photos or videos online,” the FBI, which is investigating the case, said in a statement. CNN had access.
