22-year-old man stabbed to death on Carcavelos beach

A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in a car park next to Carcavelos beach in the municipality of Cascais on Tuesday evening. The alarm was received at 11:52 p.m. The killer handed himself in at the GNR station in Vialonga around 2:30 a.m. this Wednesday, while the crime scene was under investigation.

The victim was shot in the neck and when the firefighters arrived, he had gone into cardiopulmonary arrest. Despite the fact that resuscitation measures were carried out, they were unable to change his condition and he was pronounced dead on the spot by an ambulance from Cascais Hospital. The young man was with a group of friends who were supposed to be helped by a team of psychologists.

Carcavelos and PSP volunteer firefighters were mobilized to the scene.

The circumstances of the crime are currently unknown. According to the CM, the suspect was in custody in the Polish People’s Republic, but should be handed over to the judicial police, which is investigating the crime.
