Vítor Catão was questioned this Wednesday by the Porto Department of Investigation and Criminal Affairs (DIAP) as part of Operation Praetorian, the process that is investigating the attacks by the Super Dragões on the General Assembly of FC Porto and which led to the arrest of Fernando Madureira, the former leader of the support group.
The sports director arrived shortly after 10am, accompanied by lawyer Susana Mourao. Asked by CMTV if he was going to make a statement, the defendant declined to elaborate. “Good job, good job to all,” he said simply.
Leaving DCIAP late in the morning, Vitor Catan’s lawyer said he had been shown the messages and that he had explained their content, without specifying whether his constituent accepted the facts attributed to him.
The accused are being questioned again this week as the trial enters its final stages and prosecutors prepare to file charges.
This afternoon, Tiago Aguiar, an employee of FC Porto, will be questioned by the criminal investigation department of the PSP Porto. Carlos Nunes, known as “Jamaica”, was heard on Tuesday.
