Donald Trump’s nephew claims in his memoir that he heard his uncle say at least twice that it would be better to let some people with severe disabilities die than to spend large sums of money to help them.
The claims appear in Fred C. Trump III’s memoir, which goes on sale next week, “All in the Family: The Trumps and How We Should Be.”
The New York Times obtained a copy of the memoirs, from which it is publishing today some excerpts of Donald Trump’s off-the-record remarks, including a mention of people with disabilities, since his nephew has a son with severe intellectual disabilities.
