After that, the Olympic flame began to pass from hand to hand. Rafael Nadal, a Spanish tennis player and Zinedine Zidane, the coach and former French footballer, was the first to walk through the fire.
The flame was later passed on to Serena Williams, who carried it on a boat along the Seine along with former American athlete Carl Lewis and Romanian gymnast Nadia Comaneci.
He was followed by the French basketball player, who in a short moment began Nanten Keita and Alexis Ankenkan, the two Paralympic flag bearers, and Marie-Amelie Le Four, President of the French Paralympic Committee.
The flame is handed over to Mikael Guigou, former player of the French national handball team. Subsequently, the flame is carried by elite representatives of French sport Alain Bernard, Clarisse Agbenenou, Laura Manaudou, Renaud Lavillenie.
The final pass is made by Charles Coste, a French cyclist, who passes it to Teddy Riner and Marie-Josée Perec, a French athlete. The two athletes light the Olympic cauldron, and at the end, the singer Celine Dion, who retired from the stage a year and a half ago, performs.
