The Insurance and Pension Funds Supervision Service (APS) opened 30 administrative violation cases and initiated 50 investigations into violations of the law last year, according to a report published on Wednesday.
“In terms of sanctions, the AFS has initiated 30 new proceedings for administrative offences, initiating 50 investigations into violations of current legislation in the insurance and pension sector,” he said in a statement.
ASF presented the report on regulation and supervision of market conduct for 2023.
In the year under review, 2,936 checks were carried out and 663 advertisements were analyzed.
The body reviewed and closed 8,285 complaint files and responded to 6,409 written requests for information and clarification.
Customer service included 32,270 telephone contacts and 405 personal services.
On the other hand, 273 recommendations and 2,017 specific determinations were made in the context of supervisory actions or the consideration of complaints and communications.
There were also 324 suspensions and 902 cancellations of registration of insurance intermediaries.
