The inspection, carried out by the Territorial Command of Porto through the territorial post of Vila do Conde, with the cooperation of the Social Security Service and the Directorate of Working Conditions, was carried out in a company sold to the public.
Inside, the Guard soldiers found 10,000 counterfeit goods and more than 10,000 logos of various registered and reputable brands present on the market, which were confiscated.
The suspects, employees of a commercial enterprise, were arrested and charged, and the facts were brought before the Court of Vila do Conde.
In the information provided, GNR recalled that “the main objective of this type of action is to guarantee the observance of industrial property rights, aimed essentially at combating counterfeit products, the illegal use of brands and the sale of counterfeit products.”
