Woman didn’t know she was pregnant and gave birth in a tent while on holiday

A woman has given birth to a baby without knowing she was pregnant in a tent while on holiday on Hayling Island in England.

A young mother thought the pain she experienced before giving birth was caused by a ‘tricky takeaway chicken’.

Zoe Doyle, originally from Maidenhead, England, was on holiday with her two children and husband Stuart Doyle on Hayling Island when she realised the pain she was experiencing was not abdominal cramps, but rather the pain of childbirth.

A 38-year-old kindergarten teacher spoke about this. Daily mail that she had “no pregnancy symptoms” and that her periods were “light but regular.” The woman had experienced some hormonal changes for nine months, but attributed them to “stress.” The weight gain was attributed to large mid-night meals.

The girl was born healthy and was named Hayley, after the island she was born on.

The family is delighted with the “huge surprise”. Zoe said she had “always wanted another one”, but her youngest son was two and she and her partner decided to leave that decision for later. After her husband discovered he had diabetes and doctors said the “chances of having another child were very slim”, the desire to expand the family took a back seat.

So when the baby girl was born, Zoe thought, “How is she here? She fought against all odds.” Little Hayley’s future “has an incredible story to tell,” Zoe said.
