A speedboat collided with a vessel belonging to the GNR Coastal Control Unit, injuring four people during a chase on the Guadiana River early Thursday morning.
The incident took place around 5:00 am during an anti-drug operation conducted by the PPR.
O CM knows that the victims are from North Africa and that the boat they traveled on was loaded with hashish. One of the suspects was seriously injured and was taken to Faro hospital. The other three went to the Vila Real de Santo António Emergency Service.
109 bales were seized, which is equivalent to more than 3800 kg of hashish.
Four people aged 20 to 32 were detained. CM it is known that the operation is still ongoing.
