Economy Minister António Costa Silva announced that the Food and Economic Security Authority (ASAE) will launch a nationwide inspection operation this Thursday following the increase in food profits.
António Costa Silva promised to “be adamant” to all abnormal situations in the food industry.
“We will be adamant about all abnormal situations that may arise,” António Costa Silva assured at a press conference at the Ministry of Economy and the Sea in Lisbon.
The minister also added that since the second half of last year, the ASAE has carried out more than 960 inspection activities and will start a new operation across the country this Thursday with its 38 brigades.
