A 71-year-old man suspected of trying to kill his wife in Arganil with a machete last July was acquitted of all crimes by a Coimbra court this Wednesday. The suspect was also charged with crimes of domestic violence, possession of a prohibited weapon and two crimes against physical integrity.
For 46 years of relationship, the woman would have been the victim of constant physical and psychological aggression, but the court did not prove any of the facts presented. Recall, an elderly man was awaiting trial in pre-trial detention.
for what morning Post managed to find out, on July 14, 2022, a man attacked a woman in the house where they lived, and even tried to kill her. The only reason why the outcome was not fatal was that the victim managed to escape and take refuge in a neighboring house.
