The Chamber of Vila do Conde reports that the Minister of Infrastructure, who visited the county this Friday, “has shown full openness to coordinate the necessary optimization” to complete the future road bridge across the Ave River. João Galamba considered these investments “hugely important for the mobility and development of the municipality,” the municipality points out.
The crossing is to connect the two banks next to the current Porto metro bridge. Details and cost of the project are still unknown.
Back in July last year, the municipality announced a meeting between Mayor Vitor Costa and the then Minister of Infrastructure, Pedro Nuno Santos, indicating that the project was going “with various bodies responsible for the technical execution of the project and its respective financing.”
