The Metropolitano de Lisboa Blue Line will reopen this Monday at 6:30 am, one day before the original scheduled date.
Metro de Lisboa said in a statement that “the wait is the result of the efforts made by Metropolitano de Lisboa to minimize the restrictions imposed on customers by the three-day closure of the blue line, and managed to optimize the work schedule originally envisaged.” .
The blue line was closed on April 7, 8 and 9 due to the installation of a new signaling and train control system.
“During the blue line shutdown, a number of planned activities were successfully carried out to install a new signaling and communications-based train control (CBTC) system that will improve traffic control. and therefore the offer and quality of the service provided to the customer,” adds Metro.
