The perpetrator of the attack on the Ismaelita center, Abdul Bashir, who killed two women on March 28, was taken into custody on Wednesday. The man was taken to the Caxias Prison Hospital, where he will remain in custody until the trial date.
The killer has not yet been interrogated because he was admitted to a San Jose hospital. On the day of the attack, he was neutralized by the police with four shots. The intervention of the police would save the lives of the others who were at the moment in the religious center.
Recall that Abdul Bashir brutally killed 24-year-old Mariana Jadaugi and 48-year-old Farana Sadrudin, leaving the teacher with serious injuries. The crime shocked the country and sparked a discussion about accepting refugees on national territory.
