Matthew McConaughey Reveals He Could Be Woody Harrelson’s Brother

North American actors Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are friends off the big screen, and now they’ve shown they could even be brothers.

According to an American newspaper Los Angeles Times, the discovery was made when both were vacationing with their families in Greece. McConaughey revealed on the Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa podcast that his mother said she knew Woody Harrelson’s father. McConaughey noted that the mother carried the word “I know” when she said it.

“You know where I start and where it ends and where it starts and I end, it’s always been like a blurry line,” McConaughey said. “And that’s part of our romance, right? My kids call him “Uncle Woody”. His children call me Uncle Matthew. And they see our photos, and my family thinks a lot of his photos are mine. I am him,” he says on the podcast.

The fact that Woody Harrelson’s father left work, the actors found out at the very time when McConaughey’s mother and father are getting divorced for the second time. There are also receipts from places McConaughey’s mother frequented at the time in Texas, where she may have met and dated Harrelson’s father.

On the podcast, McConaughey was asked if they had already done a DNA test, and the actor said that Harrelson was excited about the idea, but not as much as he was. “Wait, are you trying to tell me that my father might not be my father after 53 years of believing this?” McConaughey asked.
