The President of the Union of the Parishes of Matosinhos and Lesa da Palmeira accused Chega of forging the signature of the architect Siza Vieira in a document on changes to the waterfront of Lesa da Palmeira. The elected party of Andre Ventura considered this accusation insulting.
It happened during the parish meeting this Thursday night. During his speech, António Serrano (Chega) criticized the current state of the Lesa da Palmeira promenade, the lack of a bike path and the gravel pavement of the pedestrian zone. “The architect Siza Vieira himself clarifies that this was not an option for the floor,” said the chosen one. “Why can’t Leseiros have a promenade like Matosinhos? The forest is forgotten,” he concluded.
In response, the mayor of Paulo Ramos de Carvalho (PS) accused the deputy of forging documents. “Every day I walk around with a clean face. As for you and your party, I don’t know if they can do the same. I will leave you without an answer, because I did not bring the false document here. “This concerns the architect Siza Vieira. I will send him this document so that he knows that his signature, and not the one you submitted, was used to write something that is not true,” he said.
Antonio Serrano asked for the floor to ask the mayor a question: “Do you think that at my age and with the responsibility that I have, I would present a false document? It’s insulting.” Chega’s chosen one also handed Paulo de Carvalho a document which he claimed was a request from the president of the municipal structure of Chega, answers from the secretary Siza Vieira, and a copy of the architect’s document. “I’ll take it to the architect,” retorted the chairman of the union of parishes.
Even at this point in the parish meeting, Ricardo Santos (CDU) declared that the matter could not pass without consequences. “Assuming what the president said, we are facing a supposed possible crime and the assembly cannot ignore what has just happened here.”
