The SIS reportedly threatened the former Assistant Minister of Infrastructure with a computer he had brought from the ministry. According to Visao magazine, Frederico Pinheiro received a phone call around 11:00 pm from someone claiming to be an SIS agent who said he had an “order from above” to take the device.
The agent warned him that there was “great pressure” to resolve the issue and left a veiled threat in the air that it would be better to “get it right” or “things will get harder.” Pinheiro then agreed to contact SIS and resume the conversation with the agent, who had to repeat the password “Guimarães” to him to confirm that he was indeed from SIS.
The former deputy also sent a letter to the minister and chief of staff, guaranteeing delivery of the computer but demanding copies of his personal documents.
Since there was no response, he made a copy himself before meeting the agent outside around midnight. Pinheiro handed over the computer to an agent who told him that business would die there. But it wasn’t.
