National Road 2 (EN2) has reopened to traffic in the Gandara area of Tondela after it was cut off due to a three-car collision, a GNR source told Lusa this Sunday.
“EN2 is already fully open to traffic,” the GNR element confirmed to Lusa at 20:25.
The road has been closed since 18:30, when a collision warning of three cars was received in the village of Gandara, municipality of Tondela, Viseu district.
“As a result of the collision, EN2 had to be cut, resulting in six people with minor injuries,” Dao Lafoins, a source from the Sub-Regional Directorate of Emergency and Civil Protection of Viseu, told Lusa.
There were 21 operators supported by eight Tondela, GNR and National Institute of Emergency Medical Services (INEM) volunteer fire trucks.
