Six people were injured, including a GNR soldier, in a fight that took place this Sunday at dawn in the parish of the municipality of Arraiolos in the Évora region, civil protection and guard sources said.
A source at the Central Alentejo Sub-Regional Office for Emergency and Civil Protection told Lusa that a fight in the parish of Igreginha, alerted at 02:00, initially resulted in one serious injury and two minor injuries, while another was treated on the spot.
According to the same source, the seriously injured is a 34-year-old man, and the minors are two young people aged 18 and 15, all with stab wounds, were taken to the emergency room of the Espiritu Santo de Evora Hospital (HESE). .
Contacting Lusa, a GNR Territorial Command source explained that the fight took place near a bar in that parish and that when a Guards patrol arrived on the scene, people apprehended the suspect for stabbing other men with a razor.
He added that during the detention, the NPR soldier was thrown against the wall, and he had to be treated at the Higher School of Economics, just like the detainee, who also received injuries.
The same source added that the alleged aggressor, whose age he could not specify, was arrested and will be present in court on Monday for the first judicial questioning and the application of any coercive measures.
