Six people were killed and seven were injured after being hit by a car in a car accident early Sunday morning in Luanda, according to Jornal de Angola.
The driver, an employee of Grupo Carrinho, one of Angolan’s largest business groups, lost control and collided with people on the side of the road, the National Police said, quoted by the Angolan newspaper.
The Carrinho Group released a statement deploring the accident and expressing solidarity with those affected, and explained that the Toyota Hilux was driven by an employee after hours.
The company also turned to the authorities to provide the necessary assistance and undertook to inform about the outcome of the process.
