Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNaF) This movie will scare the hell out of us this Halloween with its creepy animatronics.
The film, a spin-off of the popular video game and franchise, used the expertise of Muppet creator Jim Henson’s Creature Shop to create huge robotic characters.
Here’s what we know about the film.
What is the movie “Five Nights at Freddy’s” about?
We meet Mike, a troubled young man caring for his 10-year-old sister Abby (Piper Rubio), who is haunted by the unsolved disappearance of his little brother over 10 years ago.
Mike was recently fired and is desperate to find a job so he can retain custody of Abby. He agrees to work as a night watchman at the abandoned Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria themed restaurant. Freddy’s is full of games, including six-foot-tall animatronic creatures: Freddy Fazbear, Chica, Bonnie and Foxy, who join forces with Mr. Cupcake to wreak havoc.
During Freddie’s heyday, advertising said it was a place where “imagination and fun come to life.”
The film’s synopsis continues: “Mike soon discovers that nothing is as it seems with Freddie.
“With the help of Vanessa, the local police officer (Elizabeth Lail; You, Mac and Rita), Mike’s nights with Freddie will lead him to inexplicable encounters with the supernatural and drag him into the black heart of an unspeakable nightmare.”
We heard that children disappeared from the pizzeria in the 1980s, so it closed.
Scott Cawthorn created this Five Nights at Freddy’s Video game and franchise. There are currently nine games, several spin-offs, a new trilogy, and an anthology series.
