Health Minister Manuel Pizarro denied the allegations this Friday. on the crime of evading responsibility along with Gaia Mayor Eduardo Vitor Rodriguez.
“There was no favoritism,” the health minister said in statements to reporters, also saying he was “at the subjects’ disposal to respond.”
The Minister of Health stressed that he had a “clear conscience” and that he would do the same thing again today.
Manuel Pizarro is under investigation by the public ministry in a process involving the mayor of Gaia that took place at a time when Pizarro was not yet in government. The investigation believes that the current Minister of Health petitioned for Eduardo Vitor Rodríguez to hire a senior technician for the municipality.
