Parliament approved this Friday, in general terms, only with a positive vote from the PS, the government’s proposal with the measures of the Mais Habitação program, failing the various projects presented by the opposition.
Reflecting the debate that preceded this vote, in which the opposition continued to criticize the government’s proposal for the measures of the More Housing Program, this was made possible by positive votes from the PS bench, abstaining from PAN and Livre and voting against the other parties.
All 10 housing bills were rejected, as well as the PSES resolution and draft discussions, despite the fact that during the discussion, Minister of Housing Marina Gonçalves expressed her willingness to “improve the proposals” of the government and mentioned that he liked that everyone was “very happy » solving the problem in the sector.
Of the many initiatives under discussion presented by the opposition, only the PKP draft resolution aimed at strengthening the funds of the Institute of Housing and Communal Services and Urban Improvement (HIHR) became viable, collecting votes in favor of PS, PKP, BE, PAN and Free and abstaining from the rest of the parties.
